In the middle of the Sicily, in a place for centuries belonging to Sicani, the ancient Casale di Riena is back to life.

The Casale has coming back to the ancient glory thank to the initiative of Alessandro Scramuzza. He believes in the future of his activity. His committment,  togheter with his family, was the heart of the process. Today the Casale of Riena it's  a reality.

The place is one of the most beautiful landscape in Sicily. You can see the nature at its best: beatiful woods, great cornfields. In a sunny day it's possible to see the Etna too.

The Casale is equipped with modern bedrooms, restaurant, a  pool and  a  private lake for fishing.  It's always possible to have nature trails. It's up to you if you want to use mountain bikes or horses or simply have a relaxing walk.

The food takes his ingredients from the territory. The dishes are prepared with recipes that take origin from our tradition. The result is a unique style when ancient and modern together define a new  way of cooking.

In front of the Casale it is possible to admirate the Calanchi. The Casale is placed in a natural reserve called the "Riserva Naturale Orientata di Monte Carcaci". The place has also a great historical and cultural importance. Finds  of an ancient necropolis has been detected in years.

The Casale is in a good geograhic position. It is not far from Agrigento and Palermo. The territory in the neighbourhodd are small cities with an ancient tradition like  Castronovo di Sicilia, Lercara Friddi, Prizzi, Palazzo Adriano, Vicari, Roccapalumba, Corleone, Cammarata e San Giovanni Gemini.
